Simhasana, the lion pose. This posture works two parts of the body in totally different ways.
On the one hand, with her legs in lotus (Padma) which is one of the most important postures, she softens the hips, knees and ankles. And being on the front of the thighs, it opens up the groins, relieves sore tailbones and helps put it back in place if it has been moved.
On the other hand, at the level of the face during the complete posture, one pulls the tongue down as if to touch the chin with, at the same time, the drishti (the orientation of the gaze) towards the third eye. This exercises the liver and controls the influx of bile. This posture cures bad breath, purifies the tongue and improves speech.
The lotus with the legs is not obligatory, it can be varied with the legs in Sukhasana (like the tailor) or the half lotus.
