MULADHARA, THE ROOT CHAKRA

This sequence stimulates MULADHARA, the root chakra. Muladhara, the first chakra is located at the base of the column at the level of the perineum and it is the one who determines how we connect to the outside world, it manages our stability and oversees the basic needs of food and shelter.

It is represented by the color red and is related to the element Earth. When Muladhara is balanced, one feels a sense of security, vitality, vigor, expansion and development.

When this chakra is out of balance, one feels vulnerable, suspicious, lazy, self-centered and fearful.

It is therefore necessary to work the legs well with postures of balance on one foot or on the toes in order to strongly root each part of the foot, to anchor oneself in the Earth by exploring stability and to live the present moment.
