FIND A CATCHY THEME TO TEACH

FOCUS, EXPERIENCE, EXTERNAL ELEMENTS OR SERIES

The easiest way to choose your theme or posture for the class is based on what you want to work on; what is your current focus? Hip openings, back thigh stretches, inversions, ...

If you don't have a personal focus, then you can base your work on external events such as: the current season, the change of the moon, the temperature outside, the beginning of the school year, the vacations, the return of the parties, or a color, ... Still no inspiration? Then look for themes such as the 7 chakras, the 5 elements, ...

The best lesson topic to teach that you can come up with is your own experience at the time! Why? Because it is already something that is close to your heart, if you look for it, you are experimenting, you are moving on the path of yoga and that is what makes you able to teach it properly to your students.

For the themes of your classes the external elements are also there to inspire you! The change of season, the change of moon, the start of vacations, the return to work, ... All these elements are there to guide you in your classes.

What is very catchy for your students is to create a series of sequences that have a story, that is to say that the sequence has a link with the next one! For this you can use the 7 chakras for example or the 5 elements. But you can also create a story around a posture, on 10 sequences that you teach you work the body to arrive at a posture more in depth and held longer. For this, each sequence is dedicated to a part of the body which the final posture calls upon.
