anahata-the-heart-chakra

ANAHATA, the heart chakra

This sequence opens ANAHATA, the heart chakra. Anahata, the fourth chakra symbolized by the color green, is the center of all the chakras, like a point of balance, it connects the Earth, the lower chakras either the physical body, to the sky, the upper chakras or the spirit. It is therefore located in the body center at the level of the rib cage, heart, lungs, diaphragm, lymphatic glands, chest and esophagus.

It symbolizes love, kindness towards ourselves and others, security, trust, hope and the search for balance. It makes you sensitive to compassion, it is the center of forgiveness and detachment.

When this chakra is open, we feel less aggressive, less angry and less resentful. This unlocked chakra makes full of life and love towards all living beings.

On the contrary, closed Anahata makes you shy, lonely, one lacks self-esteem and one is unable to forgive or to feel empathy. Physically, without having your entire upper body open, the shoulders and upper back can be problem areas and breathing is short and rapid or even cut off.

The postures of opening the heart must be done in such a way that the opening of the body is harmonized over the entire upper body and without pain in the lower back or in the shoulders. An overly open heart that feels unconditional love can hide suffering and pain.
