YOGA PRANA VASHYA

The practice of YOGA PRANA VASHYA is a traditional Indian practice developed by Vinay Kumar in Mysore, India that focuses on the mastery of the breath , Prana, that is to say of the breath, the vital energy within even from practice. As in Ashtanga, breathing is central there, with the specificity of the presence of air retention during the practice of the postures, which develops endurance as well as a particular state of body and concentration.

Prana Vashya offers a rigorous and precise system of chaining postures , with a deliberately quiet rhythm to develop deep breathing.

Its practice allows you to cultivate strength, balance flexibility of the body, while calming the mind and the nervous system and to learn to manage your emotions by creating positive and negative stresses through the rhythm of your breathing. Developing a deep level of endurance, it acts as much on physical, physiological as psychological health.

We travel through an intense and gentle flow of 62 asanas that must be held 5 breaths no more no less or 836 breaths in 90 minutes with 7 principles to be established in order to master this practice:

1. Perform the full and conscientious breaths

2. Perform the movements in full and conscientiously

3. Synchronize each breath with the movement

4. Align your body from the ends

5. Keep the mind focused on the sight points

6. Work against gravity

7. Embody the practice with gentleness, grace and mindfulness.
